China Television anchors campus tour at NCKU

Tainan, Taiwan, June 18, 2015

China Television Company (CTV) news anchors broadcasted live from the National Cheng Kung University's campus (NCKU) on June 18. The famous anchors Nai-Jung Hou, Chi-Rong Chung met the students at this joyful event.

Besides sharing experiences in anchoring and interviewing, the two anchors also had a great time talking with the students.

This year's latest edition of Student Anchor News broadcasted from the campus, moved between 1 and 3 pm to the International Conference Hall at Kuang-Fu campus for a ceremony.

NCKU President Huey-Jen Jenny Su encouraged the students to take up the opportunity to learn from leaders in the profession.

President Su thanked China Television Company (CTV) for co-hosting the meaningful event with NCKU. She said the foundation for NCKU in Tainan was laid 84 years before in order to train excellent talent.

NCKU is many-faced, although anchor news has no direct relation to the research departments, it is important that students cross over into different disciplines.

In recent years, NCKU news center set up a team and had provided students with the opportunity to be news anchors. Even Medical College students participate in the anchor team.

The NCKU student anchors visited the China Television Company (CTV) once and that left a great impression, according to anchor Chien-Mei Ti.

The topic of Nai-Jung Hou's speech was 'News Anchoring, a peak behind the screen and choosing a career' and Chi-Rong Chung discussed the topic of 'News Anchors' expert and interaction skills'. Both anchors emphasized that being a news anchor doesn't mean just reporting the news.
