NCKU-KTH To Launch 3+2 Joint/Dual Master’s Degree Program In Sept. 2023

NCKU and KTH will launch a new 3+2 joint dual program, open for application in September 2023 with studies for three-year bachelor program at NCKU and two-year master program at KTH. This new dual program will offer a mutually recognized academic qualification, said Prof. Wei-Cheng Lo, Secretary General of NCKU, and expand horizons through international learning and enhance academic cooperation across the disciplines.

The NCKU-KTH academic cooperation
 
The cooperation was initiated with a student exchange program in 2009 and the 4+2 joint dual program initiated in 2018, endorsed by Prof. Urban Westergren, Director of International Affairs at KTH, and has achieved a benchmark with twelve joint research papers published in international journals between 2017 and 2022, including topics of mechanical engineering, clinical medicine, water conservancy and oceanography, physics, and urban planning.
 
KTH delegation to join NCKU expert panel on April 20th
 
The KTH delegation, chaired by Professor Stefan Östlund, visited NCKU on April 20th. In addition to the agreement signing, NCKU and KTH organized a panel with academic experts in chemistry, physics, mechanical engineering, computer sciences, and life sciences, to discuss the future collaboration for academic research and talent cultivation.
 
KTH國際化副校長奧斯特隆德表示:瑞典理工學院與國立成功大學透過此次合作計畫,是對雙方教育體系的肯定和評價,也印證彼此在教學和學術研究方面的優勢。
Prof. Stefan Östlund, Vice President of global relations, stated that the joint programs of KTH and NCKU have enhanced the competence and capability of academic research. KTH looks forward to further collaborations and exchanges in the future.
 
會議中邀集化學、物理、機械、資工、生科等五大策略領域代表進行學術科研及人才培育合作細節討論,未來將提升台灣與瑞典跨國研究合作,增加高階人才跨國學習交流機會,紮根台灣下一世代國際競爭力。
