2010 SATU Presidents’ Forum 2nd Student Business Plan Competition Announced Winners




Tainan, Taiwan, October 1st, 2010
The 2010 SATU Presidents’ Forum 2nd Student Business Plan Competition has announced its winners and presented the prizes, trophies and medals to the winning teams in International Conference Room, Kuang-Fu Campus, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan.
The team “State A” which has won first place in the competition included Ms. Tran Thi Hai from Vietnam National University, Vietnam, Ms. Sutatip Tantrakul from Mahidol University, Thailand, Mr. Ekky Gompa Simanjuntak from Universitas Indonesia, Indonesia, Mr. Shih-Ching Lin from National Taiwan University, Taiwan, and Mr. Endang Wijaya from Southern Taiwan University, Taiwan, and would receive the prize of US$2,400 in addition to trophies and medals.
The team “Green Star” which has won second place included Ms. Pragya Gupta from University of Delhi, India, Ms. Suchada Vajanapanich from Mahidol University, Thailand, Mr. Ahmad Rois Mansur from University of Gadja Mada, Indonesia, Mr. Vala Ali Rohani from University of Malaya, Malaysia, Mr. Fickar Ardana from Airlangga University, Indonesia, and Mr. Van-Huy Nguyen from National Taiwan University, Taiwan, and would receive the prize of US$1,800 in addition to trophies and medals.
The team “iGEN” which has won third place included Ms. Lim Thiam Hui from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia, Mr.Titipong Rerngrittirong from Mahidol University, Malaysia, Mr. Vicky Vendy from Airlangga University, Indonesia, Mr. Mehul Singhal from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India, Mr. Jun Hendra Eli Susanto Hutabarat from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, and Ms. Nong Hong Sa from Southern Taiwan University, Taiwan, and would receive the prize of US$1,200 in addition to trophies and medals.
The jury of the 2nd Student Business Plan Competition was comprised of professors from SATU member Universities, and students’ presentations were evaluated on an anonymous basis and judged on the components of Originality, Objectives, Reasoning, Feasibility, Organization, and Style.
The Presidents' Forum of Southeast and South Asia and Taiwan Universities (SATU Presidents' Forum) aims to provide a venue for academics to share their valuable experiences to improve higher education and international cooperation in the region.
In addition, various youth activities have been conducted to strengthen the cultural exchange and academic collaboration for all member university students. The 2nd Student Business Plan Competition aims to create a challenging and unforgettable experience for all student participants.
